4. To brighten your room with just one single bulb, you can place table lamp in the room’s corner. This shall make the light reflect from the 2 adjoining walls and into the room. You do not have to use another light to make the room brighter. When you need to read, you can use task lightning so that the light will be concentrated on the area where you need it most. In addition, always dust your fixtures and bulbs so that you can get more light out of them.

5. Another energy-saving lighting measure can be done with your outdoor lighting. Place sensor lights outside of your house that can be activated with motion. This is better than getting outdoor lights which continuously consume energy and raise your electric bill.

6. To attain accent lighting outside, utilize solar lights or those with low voltage. It is the sun that powers solar lights and this will not add to your electric bill. These solar lights stay on for hours and they can be placed anywhere as they are wireless.
