My Teeth Are a Mess…Can They Be Fixed?

Due to the wonderful advances in dental technology, every mouth can be brought to full health and a beautiful smile. The dental profession has many wonderful options for saving your teeth, replacing missing teeth or covering teeth that are solid but unattractive.

My name is Dr. Dassenko and as a dentist I can repair, restore and replace your teeth to bring you a healthy mouth and a beautiful smile. Depending on the problems that exist in each one of your teeth or in your mouth overall, some of the following treatments could or would be used:

Fillings

When a tooth is basically solid but has a hole that has been caused by tooth decay or tooth wear, the decayed or weakened areas of the tooth are removed and a filling is inserted where enamel once was. Fillings are made from a variety of materials and in most cases tooth-colored fillings can be used. Fillings are created and placed all in one visit.

Inlays and Onlays

Similar to fillings, inlays and onlays are used to repair areas that have been destroyed by decay. If the biting area of the tooth has suffered decay, an inlay will be used, whereas an onlay is needed if a larger area of the tooth has been impacted. Unlike fillings, inlays and onlays are created in a dental lab and then applied in a dental office. They are typically more durable than regular fillings and would normally be used in areas of “grinding surfaces” such as for molars Viagra Jelly and premolars.

Crowns

When the structure of a tooth has been broken or weakened due to a large amount of decay, cracks, or fractures, we will often use a crown that covers the tooth to strengthen it and/or improve its aesthetics. Crowns, just like fillings, come in a variety of materials and which material is used depends a lot on where the crown will be placed in your mouth. The crown is built in a dental lab and applied in the dental office.

Veneers

Sometimes teeth are healthy, but they have become discolored because of old fillings and stains or they are slightly spread apart or out of alignment. When this is the case, we can correct the appearance by making a thin layer of natural tooth-colored porcelain called a veneer to cover your tooth. The veneer is made in a dental lab and when it is finished, I attach it to the front of your original tooth giving you a beautiful smile where you once had yellow or chipped teeth.

Root Canals

The very center of a tooth and the inside of it’s roots where blood vessels and nerves reside is called the “root canal.” A tooth can have up to four roots and thus four root canals.

When decay goes very deep and destroys the living tissue that is at the center of a tooth, the root canals must be thoroughly cleaned and sealed off before any other corrective procedure can be done. This procedure is called “endodontic therapy” or more commonly “root canal treatment.” Once the decay is totally eradicated, and any infection that may have been there is completely healed, the root canal is sealed and a filling or crown is placed to bring the tooth back to health.

Implants

When teeth are lost or missing it creates not only a problem with chewing your food but can affect the alignment of the surrounding teeth and the health of the jawbone in the area. The ideal way to replace the missing teeth is with dental implants. Because of my training and experience I can offer you dental implant treatment from start to finish in my office. Kamagra We painlessly place the implant “root” into your jaw and also design and place the appropriate “tooth” over the implant so that not only will you be able to chew and function normally but your appearance will be enhanced with a natural-looking tooth. This final “tooth” or crown is made in a dental laboratory and inserted into your mouth in our office. The implants can be used as stand-alone teeth, anchors for bridges, or attachments for removable dentures.

Bridges, Partials and Dentures

In areas where teeth are missing, we are also able to use either dental bridges or partials to replace them. A bridge is a permanent structure that is cemented into your mouth and typically uses a crown on the teeth on either side of the gap and a false tooth (or teeth) in between.

Partials, unlike bridges, are removable and are made with a metal framework that attaches to the teeth on either side.

And a full denture can be created for either cheap viagra pills your upper or lower jaw when none of the teeth can be saved. Often dental implants are used for securing dentures solidly to your mouth, even though the dentures are still totally removable.

Bridges, partials and dentures are all designed in your mouth, built in dental laboratories and then delivered to your mouth in our office.

No matter what shape your teeth or mouth are in, modern dental technology now gives me the tools as a dentist, to bring your mouth back to total health and your smile to one that will light up a room.
