Amazing Things That Are Powered By Pedals
Our prescription cialis generic hands are amazing. You can literally do almost anything with your handy digits.
You can pick up a coffee mug or fix a motorcycle. You can use your hand to communicate with someone.
The sky is the limit when it comes to the hands as useful body parts. There is no disputing that.
But there are some other body parts that can have a lot of the same advantages as the hands, but they don’t really get any of the credit. I’m talking about the feet!
Yes, your feet enable you to walk and they help us move from place to place. This is the most obvious advantage of this body part which the hands can’t boast (unless you can walk during a handstand!).
But there are many other things that the foot can do that we tend to overlook; and that’s why the foot is not getting the fair share of credit that it deserves!
There are many inventions and contraptions in the world that need our feet to work smoothly. I bet you will be surprised with some of them!
Before we get into some of the machines that are powered by the feet, we need to understand what a pedal is. The pedal is the mediator between our foot and a machine, and makes this process work smoothly.
A pedal is a lever that is moved or activated by someone’s foot. The word pedal is related to the Latin word pedis.
Just think of the words “pedestrian” or “podiatrist”, which have the same letter root. A pedestrian is someone who travels on foot, and a podiatrist is a doctor who examines and treats foot problems.
So what are some of the contraptions in this world that are powered by the lever? Let’s take a quick look at what is out there:
Automobiles: Yes, you can steer your car with both of your hands, but how would you accelerate and decelerate the vehicle without the use of your feet?
There are commonly two vehicle pedals in any car: the accelerator and Kamagra the brake. By pressing on these with your feet, it signals to the car of the intended speed that you want to go.
Bicycle: Also think of how the bicycle works. This is a great way to travel, and it would be useless without pedals!
When a rider turns the pedal, a complex set of gears attached to it eventually provides momentum to the wheels, which move them. It is the same with a stationary exercise bike, when the rider turns and gets a workout from this very motion.
Pedalo: You might commonly see these out on Valentine’s Day or any other day associated with love. They are double-seated boats that are powered by pedals at the bottom of the boat.
When two lovebirds use their energy to turn in a circular motion, it tells the propellers to move likewise in a circular motion. This makes the boat move so that the two lovers can see the scenery.
Piano or Organ: The world of music is also benefited by these amazing inventions. Think of the piano and how the acoustics of the instrument are powered by your feet.
There are usually three pedals on the piano and depending on which one you push, it can change the sound of the instrument. These can also sometimes be found on organs, too.
Usually, organs use many more of them to achieve a certain objective. Many times, the bass line of a song played by an organ is achieved by hitting with your feet.
An organ can have anywhere from one dozen to three dozen attached to it! That is enough to play an entire song with your foot alone!
There are many other things that can be powered or run by your foot’s digits. You might use one every day but not even know it.
Try to think of something in everyday life that is powered by your feet. If you use it already, you will come to appreciate this wonderful part of your body.
If you haven’t used the item, now is the time to start taking advantage of it. I’m sure you will find something new and exciting.
