A pedal is a lever that is moved or activated by someone’s foot. The word pedal is related to the Latin word pedis.

Just think of the words “pedestrian” or “podiatrist”, which have the same letter root. A pedestrian is someone who travels on foot, and a podiatrist is a doctor who examines and treats foot problems.

So what are some of the contraptions in this world that are powered by the lever? Let’s take a quick look at what is out there:

Automobiles: Yes, you can steer your car with both of your hands, but how would you accelerate and decelerate the vehicle without the use of your feet?

There are commonly two vehicle pedals in any car: the accelerator and Kamagra the brake. By pressing on these with your feet, it signals to the car of the intended speed that you want to go.

Bicycle: Also think of how the bicycle works. This is a great way to travel, and it would be useless without pedals!
