Bonnaroo Music Festival Tickets – Get Ready for the 2010 Fest
Do you love the Tennessee music festival Bonnaroo so much you want to live and breathe the event all year long? Well, thanks to Ben & Jerry’s, the infamous ice cream creative team, now you can. The music rock festival and Ben & Jerry’s have teamed up, according to a press release, to create “Bonnaroo Buzz.” The melt-in-your-mouth flavor blends “light coffee and malt ice creams with whiskey caramel swirls and English toffee pieces.” This way you will be able to get through this year’s June festivities and beyond.
For festival goers, Bonnaroo isn’t just about an Levitra oddly named Ben & Jerry’s ice cream flavor; it’s about some great music. Encompassing four sunny June days in Manchester, Tenn., the annual event brings hundreds of thousands of hipsters, punks, rockers and more to the grassy knolls of the small country town. With headliners like the Dave Matthews Band, Kings of Leon, Stevie Wonder, Jay-Z, Conan O’Brien, Weezer, Tenacious D and many others, this year’s Bonnaroo will be as tasty as ever. So what are you waiting for? Pick up some Bonnaroo Music Festival tickets online.
Confirming over 100 acts of the 2010 lineup by way of Twitter and MySpace, Bonnaroo promoters Superfly Productions and A.C. Entertainment cleverly announced the acts involving the entire social media community. Playing with words prior to the reveal, the list was named one act at a time every six minutes in early February while late night set dates have continued to be updated well into the spring. Mixing genres like no other summer festival in history, Bonnaroo includes veteran performers, newbies and international sensations alike throughout the four days of mayhem.
Celebrating its ninth year, the 2010 festival is expected to top last year’s sold out numbers of 80,000 fans, with an even more diverse lineup than 2009’s Beastie Boys, Al Green, Wilco, Merle Haggard, MGMT, Nine Inch Nails, Erykah Badu and Jimmy Buffet. Even with the eccentric lineup, expect some serious impromptu collaborations like in festivals past. Performers are commonly caught jamming with each other throughout the festival event, like last year when Bruce Springsteen bobbed his head along to MGMT while Jenny Lewis jumped onstage for Elvis Costello’s performance.
Much like every other year, the Bonnaroo Festival will be donating a portion of the proceeds to Coffee County organizations (otherwise known as local organizations based in the middle of Tennessee); as indicated by a 2005 census, the effect of Bonnaroo on the area has substantially increased revenue. This year, however, something new has also come on board – the Beard & Mustache Competition.
At Bonnaroo, it’s all about having a really good time, so for 2010’s activities the company thought it would be a great way to showcase the diversity of this festival with a male facial hair competition. The event will give winners VIP tickets to next year’s event while their image will be showcased on the Main Stage screens before Sunday’s closing performance.
