2009 was all about Taylor Swift, but fellow contemporary country music darling Carrie Underwood is out to prove that 2010 is her year to shine. Paying lip service to her fans after winning the biggest accolade of the evening at the fan-voted awards show, Underwood took the opportunity during her acceptance speech for Video Tadacip of the Year to say, “Wow. Awesome fans. Awesome, awesome, amazing, awesome. God bless you guys, you are the best!”

Carrie Underwood’s reign at the 2010 CMT Music Awards once again puts her in contention with Taylor Swift as the leading lady in the country music industry, and her triumph at this year’s awards show is a an avenged follow-up to last year’s CMA Awards, where Underwood lost out to Swift as Entertainer of the Year and Female Vocalist of the Year.
