For die-hard fans of the National Football League, the months of the offseason can drag on with nothing interesting to discuss about the teams. Sure, there is the highlight of the NFL Draft every year, but that excitement only last a couple of weeks. The fans that may not be able to relate to the offseason boredom, however, are Cincinnati Bengals fans. This is because of one simple fact: their team has Chad Ochocinco on the roster.

During the season, Ochocinco adds flair to the team, but plenty of other aspects of the game (like the Bengals vying for the postseason, for instance) can steal some of his thunder. When the offseason rolls around, the focus can be back where the outspoken wide receiver likes it: on Ochocinco. Even with his larger-than-life persona, Ochocinco approaches his egotism in a tongue-in-cheek manner, adding a likeability that few players have matched.

The television world-or VH1, more specifically-has capitalized on his star power by launching a reality show with Ochocinco as the subject. The show is called Ochocinco: The Ultimate Catch, and it features 85 women (get it?) vying for his love. Since it is too hard even for a man like Ochocinco to keep track of 85 different women, it was whittled down to 17 in the first episode. He had some assistance in making the hard choice of who to let go from two other NFL wide receivers: Terrell Owens (who else?) and Bernard Berrian. Ochocinco also took the opportunity to take a swipe at the Pittsburgh Steelers in the series premier.

This isn’t Ochocinco’s first appearance on television. He was also recently a part of the 10th season of Dancing with the Stars, and he made it all the way to the final prescription cialis generic four before being eliminated. His new show, however, definitely allows a much more inside look into the mind of Ochocinco, and he spoke to Entertainment Weekly about why he chose to do the show. Ochocinco has already put his two cents in on what the Bengals would accomplish in 2010, predicting they would walk away with a Super Bowl victory.
