Jerry Seinfeld Tickets – The Soup Nazi Returns to New York

Every Seinfeld fan remembers the classic Soup Nazi episode, where if patrons did not obey the rules set forth by the strict owner of the soup establishment they were met with a fist-slamming shout of “No Soup For You!” Now it seems “The Original Soup Man” is making a reappearance on the New York City food scene. Al Yeganeh dished up well-known warm concoctions for 20 years, until he closed up shop in 2004, but now he is reopening the well-known venue and plans to serve up some of signature dishes like lobster bisque, crab bisque, lentil and mulligatawny, much to the delight of residents and tourists alike.

At the recent opening ceremony, Yeganeh was a no-show, however. “The Original Soup Man” president Bob Bertrand was quoted on MSNBC as saying, “That’s his mystique. He’s an artist and all artists are a little bit eccentric. This is his passion, he takes pride and he takes his soup very, very seriously.” Incidentally after the Soup Nazi episode aired, Yeganeh banned Jerry Seinfeld from the premises, claiming that his portrayal in the show had ruined his life. See if you’re lucky enough to earn a bowl of Yeganeh’s soup when you’re in New York and while you’re at it score a pair of Jerry Seinfeld tickets to see the comedian perform live at a club near you.

In other Seinfeld news, the well-known comedian is also scheduled to appear at the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts for the 2010-2011 Comedy Planet Series. Seinfeld will deliver two stand-up performances in November 2010. Whoopi Goldberg is also scheduled to perform one night in January.

Jerry Seinfeld is one of the most respected comedians in the industry. His star power rose after the continued success of the sitcom he co-wrote with Larry David titled Seinfeld and he’s remained in the spotlight since the last episode aired in 1998. During its nine-year run, Seinfeld became the most popular and successful sitcom on Cialis Jelly television, even as it was billed “the show about nothing.” Jerry Seinfeld played a caricature of himself and was joined by fellow cast members Michael Richards, Jason Alexander and Julie Louis-Dreyfus.

After the credits rolled on the last episode, Jerry Seinfeld made a return to stand-up comedy and traveled around the country on his I’m Telling You for the Last Time Tour. He also served as the voice of the animated character Barry in the Bee Movie.

Most recently Seinfeld started a television series called “The Marriage Ref,” hosted by comedian Tom Papa. The show features real-life couples in the midst of an argument and a panel of celebrity judges on the program discuss both sides of the argument and ultimately vote on who they think is right.

Don’t miss seeing Seinfeld during one of his stand-up routines. His shows always sell out quickly, so make sure to secure your spot at the theater when he next books a stop in a city near you and be prepared to laugh out loud.
