Joe Nichols Tickets – Joe Nichols’ Broadway Debut Is Over Before It Began
George Strait first brought Pure Country to light in 1992 when he starred in the country western box office hit, and contemporary country music star Joe Nichols was tapped earlier this year to take over the starring role of Rusty Chandler for a forthcoming musical adaptation. Instead of a Broadway debut in 2010, however, Nichols is facing Kamagra Gold six to eight months of downtime, as Broadway’s economic hardships have led to the indefinite postponement of Pure Country.
The Broadway debut of Pure Country was supposed to be Nichols’ first foray onto the big stage, and he was scheduled to star alongside country music icon Lorrie Morgan in the production. Instead, Nichols will scramble to pick up concert dates and public appearances over the next several months, which shouldn’t be so hard for the booming country music megastar.
Nichols is currently riding high off the recent No. 1 status of his smash single “Gimme That Girl” – his third No. 1 to date and the first since 2005’s “Tequila Makes Her Clothes Fall Off.” Still, even with a chart-topping number on the music scene, the country star made room for Broadway in his busy schedule. Now that Pure Country looks to be a bust, however, he can go back to Nashville and plot a course of action for the next few months.
As for Pure Country, which has been postponed with no date slated for a future run, Nichols told The Boot, “The status is, I don’t think it’s going to happen for me. When they backed up the show, it put us in a difficult situation, because we had blocked off about six to eight months of time just for that show. That’s without touring, no media, no nothing.”
For country music concertgoers around the country, however, this might just be good news, as the “Gimme That Girl” vocalist will likely tack on a number of live performances throughout the summer months. Fans can look for Joe Nichols tickets online to upcoming concerts, and there are already a few slated for the next couple months.
Joe Nichols is now a country music-making machine, but before he struck the big time with his ear-to-ear grin and smooth vocal talent, Nichols wore quite a few hats, working as a DJ and mechanic while trying to take a crack at the country music industry. Joe Nichols took the hard-earned way onto Nashville’s music scene, landing a record deal in the early 2000s and breaking into the business with his 2002 debut album Man with a Memory. His first hit single “The Impossible” cleared the way for Nichols on the country music scene, and in 2003 he further tapped into success with a hit song called “Brokenheartsville,” his first to soar to No. 1 on the country charts.
Now known for his clever songs and yearning but smooth style of contemporary country music, Joe Nichols is absolutely on top of his game. The Arkansas native has seen smashing success with songs such as “She Only Smokes When She Drinks” and “Tequila Makes Her Clothes Fall Off,” and he’s also still reeling in success from his most recent album, Old Things New. Joe Nichols may not be headed to the Big Apple to perform on Broadway anytime soon, but his magnitude on the country music scene is unwavering and Nashville will always welcome him home.
