Sugarland Tickets – Sugarland’s Fourth Album Slated for October Release
It’s the news all country fans have been waiting for! Country duo Sugarland has announced the name and release date for its hotly-anticipated fourth album. The multi-award-winning duo will release The Incredible Machine (which is also the name of Sugarland’s tour) on October 19 via Mercury Levitra Nashville. Sugarland co-produced the forthcoming album with veteran Byron Gallimore, and Sugarland’s Kristian Bush and Jennifer Nettles have co-writing credit on the entire album, reports The Boot.
The first single off The Incredible Machine, “Stuck Like Glue,” will hit the radio waves on July 26 and Sugarland’s Jennifer Nettles described the song to The Boot as “just plain, unashamed, Sugar-fun! It sticks in your brain, no pun intended. To me it feels young, hip and, of course, sassy! I can’t wait for it to get out there so we can play it live in our show. We’ve been sitting on our hands to not play it live ’til it was released!” Fans can hear songs like “Stuck Like Glue” and see behind-the-scenes footage of the duo off stage and on tour on their official YouTube channel, which will feature a new clip each Wednesday.
Although Sugarland is firmly rooted in country music, the duo did dip into pop on their forthcoming new album. Great American Country reports that Sugarland’s Kristian Bush hinted that bandmate Jennifer Nettles experimented with her sound on The Incredible Machine. “I’m biased, but arguably I’m working with what I consider the best singer in the world, for pop music. She is so, in many ways, undiscovered for how much she has to offer, and we explored that on this record. And what it did is it challenged me as her partner, and as a musician and a producer, to make the music as emotional as she is able to make a lyric,” Bush said of the creative process. Sugarland has been to known to cover an eclectic batch of artists-ranging from Kings of Leon to Beyonce-so it should come as no surprise that the duo is testing the boundaries of country yet again.
Fans hoping to hear some new Sugarland songs live can get Sugarland tickets to see the duo perform this summer. Sugarland will be weaving its way throughout North America-stopping in cities like Maryland Heights, MO; Alpharetta, GA; Orange Beach, AL; University Park, PA; Cooperstown, NY; Charlottesville, VA; Oklahoma City, OK; Palm Beach, FL and more-until October 16, and more dates in support of The Incredible Machine are expected to be announced after its October 19 release date.
While on the road this summer, Sugarland performed four dates on the Lilith Fair Tour. Back after a ten-year hiatus, the Lilith Fair tour also featured performances by Colbie Caillat, Erykah Badu, Sheryl Crow, festival founder Sarah McLachlan and fellow country artist Loretta Lynn and the Court Yard Hounds. The duo is also slates to perform at a pair of country music festivals: Country Thunder (in Twin Lakes, Wisconsin on July 23) and Country Jam (in Eau Claire, Wisconsin on July 24) and performed at this year’s Stage Coach Country Music Festival, which took place in Indio, California earlier this year.
