Country music star Toby Keith has announced that he will release a brand new album called Bullets in the Gun on Oct. 5. This will be Keith’s 15th full-length studio album. The leadoff single for the record is “Trailerhood,” which hit the airwaves several weeks ago and has been quickly gaining steam on the charts.

The country music tough guy had his first single and number one hit, “Should Have Been a Cowboy,” in 1993. Since then he has landed atop the Billboard Country Singles Chart a whopping 19 times. Keith was tied for 10th place with Coldplay and the Black Eyed Peas, with all artists raking in $48 million. The top earner for the time period was rock act U2 with $130 million.

Toby Keith first broke in his boots in the music industry with the release of his self-titled debut album in 1993. Four songs from the record became immediate hits on the charts, including “Should’ve Been a Cowboy,” “Wish I Didn’t Know Now,” “A Little Less Talk and a Lot More Action” and “He Ain’t Worth Missing.”
