The reality is that a simple drive-through of many neighborhoods will help you narrow down your choices, but there are several other things that you will need to take into consideration when selecting the perfect neighborhood. In other words, don’t make your decision based solely on how the neighborhood looks when you drive through it. Rather, take the time to do a bit of research in order to make certain the neighborhood truly is a good fit for you.
While there are several things that you should research about various neighborhoods before you settle on just one, some of the most important details you will need to research include:
* Schools – if you have children or if you plan to have children in the near future, you should carefully research the schools that serve the neighborhood. Some factors you should consider include standardized test scores, teacher to student ratios and graduation rates.
