Jonas Brothers Tickets – Jo Bros Recognized for Doing Something
The Jonas Brothers stand apart from normal pop stars because of their squeaky-clean image. Even though they haven’t partaken in the normal lifestyle of music stars, they keep quite busy with many other projects. Some of those projects are efforts to give back, and they were rewarded for their effort at the 2010 Do Something! Awards. The 2010 Do Something! Awards were put on through a partnership between DoSomething.org and VH1, and the show aired live on July 19.
The awards ceremony was held at the Apollo Theater in New York, and the Jonas Brothers took home the award in the Music Artist category. The reason for their nomination came from their support of the Special Olympics as well as individual efforts from Nick, Joe and Kevin Jonas. Kevin raised money by appearing on the show Minute to Win It. Joe Jonas raised money for Disney Worldwide Conservation Fund by creating a single. Nick Jonas, who has the disease himself, testified at a Senate hearing about funding diabetes research. The brothers beat out Lady Gaga, Shakira, Pete Wentz and Christina Aguilera for the award.
Nick, Joe and Kevin Jonas will continue their giving back ways on Friday, Aug. 13 at the New Britain Stadium in Connecticut. According to ESPN.com, the Jonas Brothers bragged about their softball team, the “Road Dogs,” when on an ESPN podcast, and they were instantly challenged to a game by the staff at ESPN. The “Road Dogs” are made up of the Jonas Brothers along with their band members and road crew. ESPN’s team is known as the “G.O.A.T.S.” (the name is short for “Greatest of All Time”). The game will take place at noon and will benefit the Connecticut Children’s Medical Center’s a Brighter Home Campaign. New Britain Stadium is the home of the New Britain Rock Cats, an affiliate of the Minnesota Twins.
The Jonas Brothers don’t seem to have much free time, but they have somehow managed to find the some to launch a new teen and tween site called Cambio, which was created in conjunction with AOL, reports Variety. The brothers took part in the creation of the site as part of the Jonas Group, which also includes Demi Lovato and the Wonder Girls. The site will features teen-friendly content related to fashion, music and more. Videos of the Jonas Brothers will also be featured on the site, such as videos of the Road Dogs in action on the softball field.
What the Jonas Brothers are most known for, of course, is their music career. The brothers are currently touring in support of their 2009 album, Lines, Vines and Trying Times, which has yielded singles like “Paranoid” and “Fly with Me.” The band has dates booked throughout August and September in cities like Cincinnati, Ohio; Hartford, Conn.; Atlantic City, N.J.; Toronto, Ontario; Dallas, Texas; Phoenix, Ariz. and many others. Their fans are among the most die-hard in the scene and will undoubtedly make Jonas Brothers tickets top sellers for every date.
