Rihanna Tickets – Last Girl on Earth Tour
It’s her seventh, and it’s his fourth. The Rihanna – Eminem collaboration “Love the Way you Lie” recently beat out Katy Perry to sit atop the Billboard Hot 100 chart, Rihanna’s seventh to top the charts and the rapper’s second this year. The new single comes from Eminem’s Billboard 200 number one album Recovery, the second set that has marked his comeback in the last two years. Though the number one spot is nothing new for Rihanna, who first appeared on the Hot 100 in June 2005, Eminem loves the top spot as both continue to promote the new track. The new tour, which is hitting cities like Los Angeles, Miami, Toronto, Syracuse and others through the end of August, introduces fans to newcomer Ke$ha. For hip-hop fans, the “Your Love is My Drug” singer is already a favorite. Yet the industry infant, whose debut single “Tik Tok” premiered in August 2009, knows she Cialis Jelly can learn from her headliner. “Touring with Rihanna is incredible,” Ke$ha said to MTV. “It’s really fun. I’ve been out with her for about two weeks now, and I just learn so much from her as a performer. She has one of the best voices of anyone I’ve ever seen live, and I kind of just take it as my opportunity to hype up thousands of people.”
The June cover girl for Elle Magazine, Rihanna talked about her new tour and album, Rated R. Though she loves the spotlight, she admits it’s not as glamorous as she once dreamed while living in Barbados. “My first day on tour, I remember saying ‘I’m so tired – this is so much.’ Then I thought, ‘What the f**k? You asked for this – you prayed to God to tour like Madonna.'” Since her “Pon de Replay” single hit radio waves in 2005, Rihanna hasn’t stopped promoting her brand. While over the years she has clearly changed her formula, most notably with the dark side of Rated R, Rihanna is still the island girl who dreamed big.
Her huge voice couldn’t be ignored for long while in Barbados, taking just 16 years for her to get discovered on the small island in the West Indies. Once she belted out a few notes, Rihanna signed to Def Jam with New York producer Evan Rogers (NSYNC, Jessica Simpson, Christina Aguilera), who moved the youngster to the United States. Her first album, Music of the Sun, featured fresh Caribbean tunes like “Here I Go Again,” “If It’s Lovin’ That You Want” and “Pon de Replay.” She returned with A Girl Like Me and the hits “S.O.S.,” “Unfaithful” and “Break it Off.”
Yet it was 2007’s Good Girl Gone Bad that showed the world Rihanna was growing up. The dance pop heavy album featured singles like “Umbrella,” “Take a Bow” and “Disturbia,” with collaborations by Jay-Z, Ne-Yo and Timbaland. In 2009, following her very public abuse scandal and breakup, she released Rated R finding success in the lead single “Russian Roulette” and “Rude Boy.”
