I have a friend who is a pick up artist and has perfected his craft to such an expert level that women pursue him all the time. He, in fact, is so cool, that he no longer picks up girls. He doesn’t even lift a finger and yet, he has girls swarming all over him constantly.

To me, that is the ultimate goal, the ideal state to be in – having so much charisma that women flock to you. I know this may seem like an impossible dream for most guys, especially guys who aren’t active in the dating world. This may be someone who has been burned and hurt and is gun-shy. It might be a guy who just has some issues he needs to resolve with his self esteem and that has kept him out of the game. It’s hard to say, but I’m here to tell you that any guy can get to the same level of my friend.

There are a few key areas you need to look at, and work at, to make it happen. I’ll go over them here:

The first thing you need to do is look at the appearance you present to the world. Not all men are born attractive. However, here’s the good news: women don’t care about the looks you were born with. What they care about is the efforts and results you get from trying to appear attractive. What do I mean by that? I mean the big, noticeable physical things like fixing bad teeth, shaving your head bald instead of wearing a comb over, making sure that your hygiene is pristine, and keeping fit and at a healthy weight, and so on. The other physical attributes you might not think about include making sure you are wearing clothes that are flattering. That is a whole another article I’ll go into, but let’s just sum up the appearance advice, by saying you must take some effort to look as attractive as you can with what you have to work with.

Now that the housekeeping issue of appearance is out of the way, let’s take a look at the larger, more important piece of the puzzle: your self-esteem. Do you know that even the most drop dead gorgeous woman in the world will look only half as attractive if she doesn’t have self-confidence? I’ve known women like this. I’ve said, “If she realized she was half as beautiful as she is, she would appear twice as beautiful as she is.” The point is you need to really analyze what issues you might have with you self-confidence and work on them. This might take therapy, this might take making new friends, this might take moving away from your family, whatever it takes, and you need to do it. Once you have been able to build up your self-esteem, it is normal to have bouts of insecurity and lack of confidence. This is normal and you just start over again. You can even do the little trick of “faking it until you make it.”

Now if you have worked on looking as physically attractive as you can and you have worked on your self-confidence, you are almost there. Next, I’d like you to study areas such as body language, communication and what women want, and soon you will be on your way.
