Common 6 Weeks Pregnant Symptoms
It really feels good being pregnant, especially when you’re acclimated to the idea that a few months from now, you’ll become a mom! Though it feels great to think about future events, it is still unavoidable that you have to experience a few discomforts while pregnant.
At 6 weeks pregnant, you really can’t even feel or notice that you’re pregnant. You’re definitely still at that “comfortable” stage, when you’re belly isn’t too big to bother you yet.
Being 6 weeks pregnant has still a long way to go but there sure are a lot of changes in you happening during this week. Pregnancy symptoms are showing (at least to some women). Some of these symptoms are listed below. If you want to know more about them, read on!
6 Weeks Pregnant Symptoms:
– After 6 weeks of conception, you may have already noticed that your period has been missed by now. This is one great thing about being pregnant – we get to miss almost a year of menstruation!
– You may be heavier now by an added weight of 1 pound. During the whole first trimester, you’ll be gaining around 5-6 pounds, so there’s still a long way to go. When we reach the end, you’ll have gained about 25+ lbs.
– Nausea and morning sickness will become common this week. If this does happen to you, try to get some rest, avoid warm foods, and anything that will make you nauseous.
– You may have notice some spots of blood (spotting), which is perfectly normal for pregnant women during this week. But still you have to visit your doctor to make sure everything is fine.
– You’ll become more fatigued and tired from doing your usual work. Take this time to get as much rest as possible. Your body is working extremely hard and needs that extra sleep to function properly. Not to mention, when the baby arrives, you won’t be getting much sleep, so take the time now!
– The skin around your nipples, areolas, will begin to darken. You may even notice an increase in your breast size.
Every woman’s pregnancy differs from one another since hormonal activities differ from one person to another. There’s a chance that you will be able to feel all the symptoms, while some other lucky moms-to-be won’t experience these symptoms at all. These discomforts only last for a period of time so there’s no need to panic. They usually subside when you’ve finally reach the second trimester of pregnancy.
If you are still unsure that you\’re pregnant for certain, make sure you go to your doctor\’s office and get a pregnancy test there. They will be able to recommend you a great OB/GYN (if you are pregnant), and will also be able to tell you great tips for a start to a healthy pregnancy. The first few weeks, and first trimester of pregnancy are some of the most important weeks to take care of your baby simply because the majority of the development takes place during that time! So make sure you find out right away, take your prenatal vitamins, and get all the advice you can from your OB/GYN.
