There are three options for Halloween costume ideas: you can be an individual and stand out from the crowd, you could select a family costume or you could be part of a group. Family Halloween Costume Ideas

Pick a family from history, the movies or the television and bring them to life. If you have a really small family, play the Brady Bunch but tell tragic stories about how you lost the other members. (For a really creepy twist, play one parent plus Alice the maid and tell stories that might explain how that happened.) Try to choose a family that best suits your own- if you are loud and rambunctious by nature, choose the Simpsons, if you are more gentile and laid back, opt for another family. You can go retro with the Flintstones, kind of scary with the Addams Family or really modern by going as Brangelina and brood.

Group Halloween Costume Ideas

Different from the family Halloween costume ideas, slightly, the group ideas can allow for smaller or larger dynamics. Think of it- you could play a group of one costume choice in all of its sizes and variations. Take Johnny Depp for instance, (somewhere in Michigan, my sister just got light headed at that thought), a group could play characters from the actors various movie roles, each to their own taste. The options are incredible including his latest role, that of the Mad Hatter in Alice in Wonderland. Other ideas include: a sports team, a group of animals or even a group of famous criminals from the past. The sky is the limit and all you need is a little creativity and the right friends. Oh, and of course, some communication as well.
