The one thing that becomes time-consuming and confusing for one man and small companies is the paperwork which emanates from making a sale. Whether the sale is something physical, like an object, or something like a service, it is the raising of the paperwork which takes up more time than anything else. Chasing debts too begins to take an inordinate amount of time so when a third-party company comes up with a system of online invoicing and online billing, this is too good an opportunity to pass on.

These third-party companies have a system which has been thoroughly worked out. For example, one entry into the sales ledger will automatically raise the necessary paperwork for the client, accounts department and stores etc in one easy move. This means that he no longer has to factor this in when he is pricing up goods or services in the future. Alternatively, if he gathers more customers in the future, he simply has to pay a small extra fee each month from sometime in the future. This allows him to grow the system as and when he needs it and not pay for something that he does not use fully up front.

He could then, if he has more than three clients to begin with, just opt for the monthly payments right at the beginning. In fact, this is the great thing about this kind of system since it can be tailor-made to fit in with what the client wants without being too restrictive.

All this kind of thing is made possible by the wonders of the internet of course. Any company which tries to operate without it these days is probably doomed to disaster. Since most of us have at least an inkling of what is possible by going electronic, even those who are technologically challenged can have at least a chance of learning something from this kind of system if they are willing to give it a try.
