Preliminary sales figures for World Record released by Glenn Davis Doctor G on 11 February 2011 on the Warner Bros. label point towards strong worldwide sales. Figures for Asia have been omitted due to what is happening in that region. Sales statistics for Asia will be delayed, but initial reports point to very strong numbers for that segment of the market.

Davis has recently reported to the media that All Over Again, a prior release from 2010, is charting well due to support from consumers eager to donate help to Japan. Earlier this month, Davis announced to the world press that he would donate the profits from the download to the Red Cross to be used to aid in efforts that help Japan.

Kimberly Richards, who works for Davis released some details of the efforts Davis is employing in regards to his charitable donations; \”Glenn is actively and vigorously pursuing all venues available to him to get the word out for Japan. He has posted on his official Facebook Page, Myspace, Twitter and on several Blogs including one at his .org site. He is very passionate about getting the aid that Japan needs as fast as humanly possible\”, Richards told us.

According to a recent press release, Davis and his family have been giving to charity for as long as he can remember. It was reported that several major celebrities have recently contacted Davis to collaborate with him on upcoming recordings, and that Davis has humbled himself by donating such a large portion of his music sales for charitable aim.

Richards shared some details about what Davis has done over time to aid in charity \”Davis, 48 years of age, is no stranger when it comes to giving back. His family hosted numerous charity and fundraiser events over the years including a dinner show with Johnny Carson at the Chateau DeVille in Framingham, Massachusetts, a fundraiser with Bob Hope and Arthur Fiedler at the Boston Pops Symphony Orchestra, a charity show at Woodland Country Club in Newton, Massachusetts with Victor Borge and other events that included Frank Sinatra, Lucille Ball (I love lucy), Charlie Rich, Artie Shaw and many others. The Davis Family also hosted and sponsored private events such as ones at the Kennedy Compound in Hyannis, Massachusetts and International ones that included Jackie Gleason. Davis also played drums with Lionel Hampton at Walt Disney World in Florida during a concert which helped raise funds for Easter Seals. For several years Davis\’s Mother, Virginia, was President of the AMA, and his family donated time and monetary help to them. Davis feels by helping Japan, we help the world given the scope of the nuclear emergency taking place there.\” said Richards.

Davis has also reported that he will release his fourth album in under a year on 24 May 2011. A spokesperson for Davis confirmed that the album will be comprised of cover songs and will be titled \”Cover Up. It was also announced that Davis is launching a book in 2011 that will interact with websites and music from Glenn Davis Doctor G. According to a spokesperson from the company that manages Davis, the project is of \”Epic proportions and groundbreaking\”.
