Los Angeles is an exciting city. It\’s the home of the Hollywood movie industry and to many rich and famous celebrities.

Certainly there are no shortage of things for a tourist to do while visiting LA. In fact, there are so many things to do that it may be hard to create a shortlist of things to do during your trip there. Below you find a list of 10 things you could do during your LA vacation to give you some ideas.

1. Disneyland. The original Disney amusement park! If you want the true Walt Disney experience then you should go to Disneyland which is the only park that was designed and built under Walt Disney\’s supervision.

2. See Kobe Bryant and the rest of the LA Lakers at the Staples Center. Bryant is an all time great in the world of NBA basketball.

3. For those that prefer hockey; Go see an LA Kings game. These NHL games are also played at the Staples Center.

4. Go to the Old Town Music Hall and see an old silent film. This place recreates the scene from the 1920s when people would go see silent movies with live music providing the soundtrack. At the Old Town Music Hall you\’ll be hearing a wurlitzer pipe organ being played live while the silent film plays on the big screen! This is a pretty cool unique experience and a way to sort of step back in time and experience history first hand.

5. Go to the Hollywood Wax Museum. The cool thing about this wax museum is that the real versions of a lot of these wax celebrities live nearby. It\’s sort of surreal to think about.

6. Go see the Dodgers play at Dodger Stadium. You can eat one of the 1.2 million \”Dodger dogs\” eaten each year at the 81 Dodgers home games.

7. Do some shopping on Rodeo Drive. Get out your wallet for some designer label and haute couture fashion boutiques. These are the kind of unique shops that you won\’t be able to find most places.

8. See some live music. There are many famous venues in LA where you can see big name music acts and up and coming rockers. Among the venues you may want to check are the Staples Center (there are big concerts here along with NBA and NHL games), The Hollywood Paladium, Coach House, and the Galaxy Concert Theater.

9. Visit the Walk of Fame. Over 10 million people a year visit the Hollywood Walk of Fame to see the over 2,400 stars there. They are mostly famous movie stars and musicians.

10. Visit Venice Beach. Don\’t forget that LA is very close to the ocean! You can get the full beach experience during your visit to LA. If you\’ve never been to a beach on a west coast, it\’s certainly worth the trip because it\’s very different from the beaches on the east coast. While the water isn\’t as warm the beaches are much larger.
