Bali Balangan White Sand Beach And Affordable Accommodation

If you are dreaming about an exotic Bali vacation and yet a cost effective one, you should be looking at the island nation of Bali. She has all the warmth and the right ambience for all age groups. If you are a party hopper or somebody who just wants to explore on its own, the island nation never disappoints.

If you are in Bali you should visit the famous Bali Balangan Beach. This beach is known to everyone as the best beach for surfing the breaks located on the west end of the Bukit peninsula just before Dreamland and ten minutes away from Uluwatu.

When you go uphill and find yourself moving through narrow winding crossroads and you will notice sign posts showing you directions to Balangan. However travel experts say to just ignore the signs and head on for the beach which is on the right hand side. At the entrance of Dreamland, you would need to take a right and go downhill for about ten minutes. You would pass three roundabouts with sign posts showing you the way to the beach.

Don’t expect the road to be smooth since the plateau is made up of limestone. If you prefer, you can hire a car or a bike to take you to the famous beach, which is worth the trip and ride. While you are on the way to the beach, you can find many sign posts offering cheap accommodation but still with enough facilities for an enjoyable stay. Famous accommodations, villas or homes include the “Coconut Hummingbird”, “Flower Bud Bungalows” and “La Joya” to name a few.

With regards to the “Flower Bud Bungalows”, this is what we have to say about its services. The place offers 4 bungalows all designed in a rustic ambience with a high priority on cleanliness and hygiene. The bungalows are warm and cozy made of wood and bamboo giving you the feel of tropical paradise with lush colorful gardens around. Latest price for the accommodation is only 250,000 Rupiah per night.

If you get hungry you can visit their restaurant that has friendly and customer centric men and women waiting to serve you around the clock. It is owned by a Balinese family and you would just love the peace and quiet this place offers, while you indulge yourself enjoying local delicacies. Be prepared however to live without air conditioning since the bungalows do not provide this facility.

Another affordable place in the area is the Coconut Hummingbird, owned by Takuro, a mellow Japanese expat. Customers staying at his residence, speak highly of his laid back and friendly attitude. The Coconut Hummingbird doesn’t have a pantry to serve so you may want to check outside for your food needs. The cost for staying here amounts to 450,000 Rupiah, which is for a double sharing room and inclusive of a yummy breakfast.

Finally, take a look at La Joya, which is a fancy accommodation not too far from the previous two accommodations we discussed before. It is run by a French expat, her name is Celine and the place has 8 bungalows with a price tag of 800,000 to 3,000,000 Rupiah per night. The bungalows are a fusion of the old and the new, eastern and western designs and attract people from all over the world.

Hope to see you soon in beautiful Bali Balangan beach.
