Using Natural Cleansers For Your House

Cleaning houses can be done in different methods where you can use your preferred cleaning materials as well as cleansing agents. However, if you are a health conscious and is more on the “green and natural” personality, then using a natural household cleanser is definitely for you.

You can find many natural cleansers in your house and your backyard which can be used in cleaning your house. If you think that these cleansers don’t have the same cleaning power as that of the commercial cleansers, then you should try them and see how they match up to the chemical cleansers.

Lemons are not only known as fruits used in lemonades, they are also known as natural and effective cleansers that can be used in almost all area and appliances of your house, except for the varnished appliances. In fact, most of us regard the smell of lemons as a symbol of cleanliness and freshness. This is true as lemon have good antibacterial and antiseptic properties that are useful in cleaning and disinfecting our house. You can use them on stain buildups in your sink as they provide the same cleansing effect as that of bleaches. Using lemon as your cleanser is safe and easy as you will only have to cut it in half and squeeze it to get the juice. You can also add salt or vinegar as they can increase its cleaning effect.

White vinegar is commonly used as a cleanser as it has so many ways on how to use it as your natural cleanser for your house. However, because of its smell, some use lemons to minimize its odor. Aside from its ability to loosen dirt, it is also good against germs and bacteria as it has an antibacterial property due to its high level of acidity. You can also make a mixture of olive oil, white vinegar and water as a cleansing solution that is ideal for your wooden floor. Vinegar is also a popular cleanser used in cleaning windows aside from using a wet newspaper.

Baking soda does a lot of work when it comes to cleaning the house. Aside from being an excellent natural cleanser, it also is a good solution to unclog sinks and bath drains when mixed with vinegar. You can use a combination of 1/2 cup of baking powder and 1/2 cup of vinegar which you will pour into the drain and let the foaming pressure do the unclogging for you while you cover the drain. After the process you can flush your drain with cold water and see if it is still clogged.

Although these are all natural cleansers and are not harmful to your health, you should always be careful as vinegar and lemon juice can irritate your eye if it gets in contact with it. You can also probably have skin irritations if you have sensitive skin but otherwise they are the safest cleansers to use. Aside from their cleansing ability, these are probably the most affordable and easy to obtain cleansing agents.
