Don’t be a wimp.

One of the biggest problems that befall guys in steady relationships is that they get so wrapped up in their girlfriends that they forget to stay men.

They get all mushy and lovey, and while all that is okay to a certain extent, men need to make sure they hold tight to the traits that make them a man.

You see, those traits and characteristics are the ones that made them attractive to women in the first place.
If you want to keep the attraction level high, you have to remember a few different things. Here are some that will help you on this journey.

1. Don’t tell all. If you want to keep the attraction alive, you must keep an element of mystique about you. This means you don’t let women know everything you think, do, or feel. You need to keep things to yourself, especially your feelings about women. This is especially important when you are first dating. You can be passionate and emotional about sports or your favorite movies, or even, good food, but don’t spill your guts about how great she is. Keep her guessing.

2. Guard your self-esteem like you do the family jewels. I don’t care how much you love a girl, do not put up with anything she says or does that causes damage to your self confidence. You must guard this closely and value it as much as something tangible, if not more so. Don’t let anyone take away your feelings of value and self worth. Nobody is important enough for you to sacrifice your self confidence for them.

3. Be Aloof. This doesn’t mean being a jerk. This means you make it crystal clear that you have your own life outside of your time with her. This means not always being there when she calls. This means not always being available when she gets together. The key to making this work – and making her increase her attraction to you instead of lose interest – is to do it in moderation. You don’t need to hold back your attraction or feelings for her (if you’ve been dating awhile), but you always are sending a strong signal that you have your own life apart from her.

4. Pursue your Passions. If you aren’t already doing this, you need to start this very second. Figure out what floats your boat and do something about it. Take the time and spend the energy to pursue these passions. Make room for them in your life. I don’t care if it’s stamp collecting or sailing the high seas, figure out how to make them a part of your life right now. Having passions is sexy. Being interested in many things makes you interesting.

The above are just a few ways to not only enrich your life but to make you a more fulfilled and satisfied man in or out of a dating relationship. Take some time to figure out what you need and what makes you happy and settle for nothing less.
