Instances and Places Where You Can’t Use a Stun Gun For Personal Security
The benefits of different types of personal security devices are already evident, especially for women. But despite of all the benefits that they offer, you still need to consider some restrictions. Because these devices are designed to keep yourself safe and protected, you should only use them for such purpose. You have to remember that there are certain restrictions set when using the personal security devices/products.
For instance, a stun gun is a device that can surely save your life in case of an attack. Once an attacker has been stunned by such device, he will immediately become incapacitated or immobilized for a certain period of time. During this time, you can run and ask for help from the people near the place or perhaps you can call the cops. After a couple of minutes, the effect of the device will eventually wear off without leaving any serious injuries to the attacker. This is basically why this device is preferred and used by many people including the law enforcers in different places. However, you can’t just use the device anytime and anywhere you want to even if the situation does not require it.
There are places and instances wherein you are not allowed to use or even carry the device for particular reasons. If you are in United States, you have to be aware that not all states allow the use of such device. Hawaii, New Jersey, New York and Michigan are just some of the states where the device is not allowed. So if you are currently residing in any of these states, you might want to consider some other personal security devices that are not prohibited to avoid any problems. In addition, if you are going to travel by plane, make sure to leave the device at home because you will definitely have a hard time in getting through the airport security if you carry the device with you. This is an airport rule that is being implemented in almost all airports all over the world and you should observe this, even if you do not have any plans of using the device in doing something stupid. And, if you are still in school and you do not have any authorization to carry the device, might as well leave it at home.
On the other hand, when it comes to instances and situations, you are only allowed to use a stun gun when you are in danger or in case of an attack. This is basically because the device is created for self defense and not for some other purposes like taking advantage of someone or just for fun. Although the device does not cause serious harm to an individual, it does not mean that you can just aim the device on anyone you want. If you do this, be prepared to face the consequences. All these things simply mean that once you own such personal security device, you have to be responsible enough to know where and when you should use it.
