With the high demand for new buildings all over the world the demand for hardcore, sand, pea gravel and many other mineral products means that quarrying is big business. As businesses grow so does the demand for reliable and compatible machinery. This is where the versatility of modern day screeners becomes very important.

Usually quarries are sited where the largest amounts of minerals are based. It is very important that screeners should be collapsible to an easily mobile size. Many quarries are in awkward areas to access and it is important that the machinery can get onto site. Once there they need to be solid reliable and able to cope with the space available, many grades of material and volume of work required.

Most screeners are designed with a hopper from which the minerals are transported on a conveyor belt onto the vibrating screens. These screens are of varying filter sizes to sort the minerals into the necessary sizes. A selection of up to three screens may be placed above one another to allow a gradual sizing process depending on the machine being used.

The machine separates each filtered size of mineral then transports it to a place where it is deposited outside the machine. These piles of deposit can then be removed by dumpers into lorries to be transported to storage or moved out directly to customers. This may mean the piles get quite large so the depositing arm has to work at a steep angle.

There are many different types of this equipment to cover its numerous uses engine size, hopper size and number of screens can all vary immensely. Some models have screens which can be changed for another similar screen with a different filter size. Other models have screen boxes that can work at really steep angles. The power that drives the screen is important as this drives the strength of vibration.

These machines can also be adapted as crushers and shredders. Some can chip wood while others are very good at sifting and grading fine sands. The uses for these machines are immense as they do all the previously mentioned and can also be used for coal and to sort demolition waste and recycled materials. Some machines are specifically made to work with fine sand and dusty materials as these can be very erosive to machinery.

Smaller machines that can be moved from site to site are also desirable by construction workers. For this reason there are also many variations of what is available in the smaller machine market too. These smaller machines still need to be easy to fold away for moving and like there larger brothers rely on their hydraulics for this.

Because there is so much diversity in the requirements of vibrating screeners it has opened up a whole mass market for theses machines. That is why the versatility of the modern day screener has come about. Today there is a machine to fit into any size and space and deal with the necessary volume of production the modern world demands.
