Many of us have been caught off guard when it comes to drinking and driving. A botched arrangement or an unexpected celebration could well find us in the wrong place at the wrong time with no one to drive a vehicle. Some people will take the opportunity to risk being caught by the police and when they do, trouble is sure to follow. No matter what excuse people have for getting behind the wheel of a car after having too much to drink or taking illicit drugs of course, the court does not look kindly upon it. However, by being difficult, the driver will get an automatic suspension three or four times that which he would have gotten if he had taken all the tests. This is to stop people being awkward and to speed up whatever is going on. The sentence usually includes having the license suspended for some time and this gets progressively longer every time the accused is caught. Eventually, of course, his license will be revoked completely and who among us can manage without a vehicle these days?

Lastly, although everyone needs an expert in the court, it may well be easier to face up to the problem and get it over and done with. Fighting sometimes makes it worse and the punishment will also be worse in the end.
