Do You go Beyond Your Fitness Routine?

Just about everyone is in a hurry to get that \”10\” body. We live in a fast-paced world that believes in instant gratification and the \”get-me-immediately\” psychology seems to set in permanently. So, may folks overdo their fitness routine because they want to build a perfect body and they want it yesterday.

However, such people are in for a rude shock. Overdoing a fitness program can cause more harm than good. The trick to getting the perfect body is combining the right exercise routine with a healthy diet. Everybody is made differently and different folks have different capabilities. Some people can endure longer than others. Still, you must always consult with your personal trainer about the perfect fitness routine that\’s right for your body type. Now here\’s the golden question: Are you overdoing your fitness routine or are you doing it right?

Symptoms that indicate you\’re overdoing your fitness routine

1. You may start losing interest in your fitness program. Once you have made up your mind to exercise, you must keep going at it, and once you get started on a fitness program it makes you crave for more. The body starts getting shapely, you make friends, you feel healthier, and more. All these factors ensure you look forward to the next fitness routine. But if you start losing interest, it means something is amiss and most likely, you\’re overdoing your routine.

2. When a weight training program stops having any beneficial effect on you, it clearly means that you are lifting heavier weights than recommended. You must work according to the trainer\’s instructions and lift weights that your body can take.

3. Fatigue is another symptom. An exercise routine rejuvenates the body and you feel good even after a strenuous, out-of-breath session. But if you start feeling completely fatigued and if your muscles ache, it means that you are overdoing it and may have damaged a few muscles in the bargain.

4. A feeling of restlessness or sleeplessness or mood changes or abnormal changes in your appetite, then that is another sign of overdoing your fitness routine. In fact, these conditions call for a thorough medical checkup followed by a correction in your exercising routine. You must know that these conditions can weaken your immune system and turn your lifestyle on its head. You may even end up hating exercise – which is so wrong.

5. Joint pains are another symptom of over exercising or adopting the wrong posture while exercising. So, if you adopt the right posture and still have joint pains, then you\’re working out more than required.

6. If working out makes you neglect your family or makes you hit the gym even when you are feeling unwell, then it means that you\’re obsessed with your routine and are likely overtraining.

These are the symptoms associated with overtraining. If you experience any of these, you must immediately consult your trainer or your doctor and take corrective measures.
