Who in the World Am I? Ah, That\’s the Great Puzzle Do the Pieces of Your Puzzle Fit Together?
Imagine your life’s mission and consequent events as pieces of your life’s puzzle. As the assembler of your own puzzle you will immediately recognize this long term game doesn’t come with a specific set of instructions. It is a known fact that people employ various methods and tools to achieve their goals. Just like with a real puzzle, you have choose the right strategy to help you complete the big picture.
Each piece characterizes various aspects of your personality and will be redefined as you grow and develop into your full self. When the pieces would not fit together, you might experience fear, disengagement, bewilderment or ineffectiveness, almost as if you were missing a piece of your existence. Career and life coaching is a relatively new discipline emerging from the very need to surpass such confusing and hopeless moments in one’s life. Through guidance and support, techniques are implemented to assist you in reaching your full potential and personal goals. It provides invaluable solutions to establish order and restore balance, while assisting you in finding your purpose and passion.
Through action-oriented, goal-driven, solution-focused sessions, career coaching suggests you take the time to look at the different pieces of your life and reassess your big picture. Does your picture reflect what you originally wanted? If it is, does it foster the happiness and satisfaction you initially expected? If it doesn’t, focus on identifying what’s missing. What do you cherish and how can you incorporate the things you value most into your current puzzle? By asking these questions and spending time reflecting, the picture of your life will become clearer.
Don’t be surprised or anxious if the original picture begins to morph into something different, something greater. That’s how life goes. Although there is an intense desire to see the final picture, don’t rush. Embrace your existence as you sort through and organize your life. Bit by bit the lines of your puzzle become more defined gradually clarifying your big picture. It is time to formulate your plan of action by setting short and long term objectives. To ensure a greater success rate, each goal needs to be specific, measurable, attainable, realistic and timely. Select a friend or family member to serve as your accountability partner. Finally, activate your plan of action. Just as a puzzle will never work itself out, your life’s mission will never come to realization without action.
Always be true to yourself and pursue the path you know you can b e successful in. One of my main secrets to success is understand your limits. If you know yourself and are honest about what you are capable of, you will outsource or delegate to people you can manage and ultimately be more successful. One thing I never do is say I know something when I don\’t. You cannot pretend your way to success! When you are inexperienced in a certain matter or don\’t know something, admit it and open yourself to learn from others. I firmly believe that if you focus on your strengths and delegate your weaknesses, you will thrive.
