I know it probably isn’t something that everyone wants to think about, but at some point in our lives we must all face our mortality. Yes, eventually we are going to die. Now that I have made that somber statement you should have all the more reason to go out and do some of things you always said you wanted to do but have never gotten around to doing. I am sure there are lots of different things everyone would like to do, but here are five nightlife things I would like to do in the clubs and bars in Houston before I die.

1.Dance on the bar – You know you have seen it done in a bunch of movies and television shows. Heck, I have even seen it in person at several of the clubs. It is not something that I would ever consider doing under normal circumstances, but if I know I am going to die, I want to kick up my heels on the bar while the whole place hoots and hollers.

2.Be the center of the dance floor – Everyone always circles around the really good dancers on the dance floor when they are watching someone in action. I would like to actually be good enough to be that guy in the middle with the pretty girl dancing the night away. Since I am never going to be a great dancer, I may as well take my one shot at it if I know I am going anyway.

3.Start a bar fight – Okay, it may not be the smartest thing in the world for anyone to do and it will certainly get you thrown out and maybe even beaten up or arrested. All of that is true, but wouldn’t be cool to say you were actually in a down-and dirty bar fight/ Well for a guy like me it would be anyway.

4.Buy a round for the whole bar – You may as well spend all you have if you are on limited time anyway. Why not make everyone’s night all at once and buy everyone a drink? They can have whatever they want and it’s all on me. It certainly is a quick way to become the most popular guy in the place, but I would just like to see everyone smiling and it might lead to number five.

5.Kiss the prettiest girl in the bar – It doesn’t matter if she is with me or not, if she has a boyfriend, girlfriend or is married. I am going to die anyway and I want her to kiss me. After she gets her free drink, it would be nice if she just walked right up to me and planted one right on me.

I don’t think that is too bad of a list of things to want to do before death. It certainly seems doable at any of the clubs and bars in Houston, at least to me. Odds are I may never get to do any of these things before I die, but sure is nice to dream about them once in a while.
