The days where I am out around the city so late that it almost reaches breakfast time are pretty much in the past. I just can stay out and party like that anymore myself, but I am sure plenty of you can. Lucky for you when you are looking for Houston things to do in the wee hours of the morning, there are still some things you are able to do that will lead you right up to breakfast.

After most of the bars and clubs close down for the night, there is not always a lot to seek out find. There just aren\’t that many people looking for something to do at that hour, so many of the places close down. However, because it is a city, there are some places that will stay open around the clock and take you right up to your morning coffee.

One of the favorite things to do for my friends I years ago was to find all-night place that served food and stop in there in the middle of the night. At that time of day, we were usually the only people in the place so it didn\’t matter if we were acting like rowdy, loud drunks (which I am sure sometimes we were). We did try to keep ourselves in control so at the very least we wouldn\’t get thrown out of the place or have the police called.

Unfortunately for the establishment, usually by this time of the night/morning we had next to no money left between all of us. That usually meant we were just drinking coffee and ordering a piece of pie with five forks. The waitress was never real happy about it, but there wasn\’t anyone else in the place who was ordering a big meal or anything.

If we couldn\’t find a food place like a diner, there was usually a Chinese food place or pizza place open somewhere for us to go and hang out. It was usually the same routine there though. We only got the bare minimum of what we could afford and that was it. We were just killing time.

There was one time where we had some money left and we decided we wanted to go to one of those all-night massage places (no, this was really a massage place). We each went in paid our ten bucks and got a back massage for fifteen minutes. I think the old guy who ran the place was shocked to see five people in there at four in the morning, but hey, he was open so we went in.

While there might not be a ton of entertainment available just before breakfast, if you are looking for Houston things to do there are a few things around the city. You might have to look hard to find them, but they are out there. Maybe it\’s not something you ever thought you would do at four in the morning, but it will pass the time until breakfast.
