Houston Loudest Nightlife in the City Limits
Man, I must really be getting old. I am letting the little things in life start to bother me, especially when I go out on the weekends. When I was younger, I can remember going to the bars and clubs and not having any issues at all. I would just look forward to having a good time. Now it seems like I have something to complain about every time I go out. This last time I even left some Houston nightlife feedback on a website. What got me so upset? This one club had to be absolutely the loudest place I had ever been in.
I can appreciate some loud music. Usually when we go to a dance club the music gets pretty loud anyway. I can understand why the disc jockey has to crank up the music a little bit. I think it\’s mainly so that it doesn\’t get drowned out by all the noise, talking and dancing going on at the dance floor and the rest of the club.
However, this one place seemed to go to the extreme. As soon as we walked through the door it seemed like we were hit with a wave of music. I almost felt like it was going to push me back out the door so I would have to pay my cover charge again.
I had never heard music quite that loud before. I have been to some rock concerts and shows where I was close to the speakers and the music was pretty loud. In those situations I can understand why someone would think it is so loud in there.
This place was even louder than when I go to the NASCAR track for the races. The noise that comes from the cars there is pretty deafening, so you know this place had to be pretty bad. I would rather sit and watch the race than have to put up with loud, thumping music all night long.
I knew I wasn\’t going to last very long at this place. I grabbed a beer and sat near my buddies but we couldn\’t even hear each other talk. I tried to order another drink from the bartender, but there was no way he could hear me over everything going on in the club so I just gave up. I waved to my buddies and I left the place.
It took me a good ten minutes before I could hear normally again. I took a cab back home and the driver said a lot of people coming from there complain about the same thing. He suggested I bring ear plugs the next time I go.
I don\’t know if there will be a next time for me, at least not there. I did enough complaining about it when I left my Houston nightclub feedback on the website. I am sure I\’ll get lots of responses call me wimpy and old, but that\’s okay. I\’ll just put my bifocals on, wrap myself in a warm blanket, sit in my rocking chair and read.
