Spring Break is almost here, and it’s always a busy time at the beautiful Grand Canyon. That’s why travelers in the know have already started making their plans for Spring Break Grand Canyon bus tours. These tours are incredibly popular and they often sell out, so I recommend locking down your tickets as soon as possible.

West Rim and South Rim Grand Canyon bus tours are scheduled every day. They begin in either Phoenix, Arizona or Las Vegas, Nevada. Phoenix bus tours visit the South Rim only, but Las Vegas tours go to either the South Rim or the West Rim. No bus tour goes from one rim to the other. Overnight coach tours are available, but they’re becoming harder to find.

As I mentioned above, Las Vegas tours go to the South Rim or the West Rim. The South Rim trip is the most popular, and it’s not only affordable, but packed with value because it’s all-inclusive. By “all-inclusive” I mean the price includes a light breakfast, lunch, all applicable National Park fees, and pickup and drop-off service at most Strip hotels. Your driver also serves as your tour guide.

It’s a glorious all-day experience. You’ll drive by Hoover Dam, Lake Mead and Grand Canyon West before arriving at the National Park. Normally you’ll have about three hours of free time at the Rim for exploring. Most people tell me they think that’s plenty of time.

I want to specifically mention one particular South Rim bus tour package because I think it’s tremendously exciting. After arriving at the Rim, you’ll board a chopper for an exhilarating rim-to-rim flight. The highlight of this extra-cost add-on is fabulous Dragoon Corridor – the widest, deepest section of the entire canyon. I think this experience alone is well worth the extra cost!

Other full-day, all-inclusive Las Vegas tours visit the West Rim, but it’s a shorter drive than the tours that go to the South Rim. The basic West Rim bus tour will take you there and bring you back to your Vegas Strip hotel, with plenty of free time to explore Grand Canyon West. While you’re there you can see West Rim highlights like:

– Eagle Point

– The Indian Cultural Center

– Hualapai Ranch

You could also add one of these popular extra-cost tour add-ons to make the experience even more exciting:

The Hualapai tribe, which owns and operates Grand Canyon West, has plans to add a VIP lounge with scenic views, a hotel and additional gift shops in the future.

Because Spring Break Grand Canyon bus tours are so popular, I urge you to book yours well in advance. I recommend booking at least a week before the tour date you prefer – especially if you’re traveling with a group. Some people gamble and don’t book their tours until that day, but I’ve learned that this strategy backfires more often than not. These tours often sell out.

I also urge you to book your tour online. You’ll find the best deals and discounts on the tour companies’ own websites. They’re in the best position to offer the lowest prices. I’ve gotten as much as 35% off retail by booking my own bus tours this way!
