It\’s winter here and so I advise dressing accordingly. The West Rim is more moderate in its temperatures and pretty much reflects the climate you\’ll experience in Las Vegas. The South Rim, by contrast, sits at an elevation of 7,000 feet and it\’s not uncommon for it to snow there. Caveat: Vegas helicopters only go to the West Rim. If you want to visit the South, I recommend the direct 60-minute airplane tour combined with a 30-minute heli ride.
