Seating is limited (six passengers plus the pilot), so Strip helicopter tours sell out fast. That’s why I always suggest that travelers buy their tickets at least 72 hours before they want to fly.

The world-famous Vegas Strip is officially called Las Vegas Boulevard (in the past, it’s also been called Fifth Street and Highway 91) and extends between Sahara Avenue and North Russell Road. Most of this renowned 4.1-mile resort hotel-casino corridor isn’t in Las Vegas proper – it’s in the nearby Clark County neighborhoods of Paradise and Winchester. It’s said that the Strip got its name because it reminded a local police officer of the Sunset Strip in Hollywood, California – his hometown. The average temperature in Las Vegas is 66 degrees, with only a little over 4 inches of rain annually. Temperatures soar over 100 degrees regularly during the summer. Winters are mild to cold, with occasional snow. Dress for the climate during your visit, and make sure you bring your smart phone or camera with a fresh set of batteries. You’ll have some fabulous photo opportunities during your flight, and you’ll want to take advantage as much as you can.
