My third tip concerns packages that include a landing. I recommend these because they are clearly the best value when compared to air-only trips. My favorite landing package is the one that combines a flight to the West Rim followed by a helicopter ride to the bottom.

The other landing trip that I like is the direct flight to the South Rim combined with a helicopter ride and a 2.5-hour bus tour. The flight over takes just 60 minutes (compared to 5.5 hours if you drive it or take a bus). The helicopter segment goes from the South Rim to the North Rim an back, while the bus visits all the key sites inside the Park.

My #4 tip is go in the morning. This time of the day is best when it comes to visibility. It\’s also when air is the smoothest, especially during the summer months.
