Going to Las Vegas for the New Year\’s holidays? Then you\’ve got to take a bus tour to the Grand Canyon. Trips leave in the morning and go to the West Rim/Skywalk or the South Rim. But book in advance as these super-fun road trips have a tendency to sell out.

Bus tours leave from Vegas once in the morning between 7 a. M. And 7:30 a. M. If you can\’t make it at that time on a particular day, you need to book for the following day. Further, these tours can take more than 14 hours to complete so you need to set aside an entire day to do them.

West Rim

The closest part of the Canyon to Vegas is the West Rim, which is home to the Grand Canyon Skywalk. Also known as the Glass Bridge, the Skywalk lets travelers walk some 70 feet over the edge until they are standing 4k feet over the bottom of the Canyon. South Rim

This rim is the farthest from Vegas and requires a 5.5-hour drive. Despite the trip to get there, this tour is one of the most popular offered (and remains one of the best values ever). It follows the same route as the West Rim bus tour, including going by Lake Mead and stopping at Hoover Dam for a 15-minute photo shoot.

Then it continues deep into northern Arizona until it reaches the front gates of the National Park just outside the small town of Tusayan, which is famous as the gateway to the Canyon. Here you\’ll spend up to 3 hours exploring the Park with stops at all the key lookouts and landmarks including Mather Point, Grand Canyon Village and Yaki Point.

All Vegas tours are all-inclusive and come with all taxes, fees, fuel surcharges and lunch. They even include free hotel pick up and drop off at your Las Vegas Strip hotel. Considering how good of a deal they are, I recommend booking early as seats fill up fast. Try to avoid booking 48 hours prior to drive time as prices go up and seats sell out.

I also recommend booking these bus tours over the Internet. Not only is it more convenient but its here where you get the best deals. Just make sure you complete your transaction online in order to qualify for the Internet discount. Failure to do this could result in purchasing your ticket at the full retail rate.
