Country music hotshot Kenny Chesney is taking the year off from touring, performing in just six cities this entire summer. One of those six will be at Country Thunder USA, where the city of Twin Lakes, Wis. is already bracing for the influx of country music fans ready to storm the concert grounds.

This year’s two-city Country Thunder USA country music festival already shook the Southwest this April, when the first of the two music fests took place in Florence, Ariz. Vibrant country music stars like Eric Church, Gary Allan, Gloriana, Jo Dee Messina, Kid Rock, Love and Theft, Miranda Lambert, the Grascals, Willie Nelson and Randy Houser illuminated the stage in Florence from April 14-17, 2010, and there are even bigger artists set to rock out with Country Thunder in Twin Lakes in late July.

Aside from Kenny Chesney, the Sunday night headliner and perhaps the biggest name on the roster for this year’s festival in Twin Lakes, other dominating music stars who will bring the thunder and lightning to the big stage this summer include Miranda Lambert, Sugarland, Jason Kamagra jelly Aldean, Billy Currington, Craig Morgan, Gloriana, Trailer Choir and more.

Boasting Chesney, Lambert and Sugarland as headliners, the blowout country music festival in Wisconsin is the biggest extravaganza of the month for country music fans in the Midwest. The April Country Thunder event in Florence, Ariz. bordered the line between edgy rock and country with performances from Willie Nelson, Big Kenny and Kid Rock, but the upcoming Wisconsin edition will get back to country roots by substituting the trio for contemporary country music favorites Kenny Chesney, Miranda Lambert and Sugarland.
