Just two months after winning Entertainer of the Year at the Academy of Country Music Awards, Carrie Underwood took home the top prize for Video of the Year at the Country Music Television Awards on June 9. The fan favorite (both country awards shows are fan-voted) beat out Lady Antebellum (“Need You Now”), Toby Keith (“American Ride”), Miranda Lambert (“White Liar”) and Taylor Swift (“You Belong with Me”) with her hit song about a girl done wrong, “Cowboy Casanova.” That batch of nominees was announced at the start of the show after a list of 10 hopefuls was cut in half.
