Exploring Some Of The Most Popular American Car Brands That Are Starting To Dominate The UK Market
Many, many decades ago, the only cars that you could buy in the UK were those made on British soil, primarily because the importing of cars was too expensive of an option.
Today, however, ask anyone to name a handful of truly British car manufacturers and they’d struggle Brand Cialis to name two.
Ever since the end of World War II, the importing of foreign cars has been something which has grown exponentially, with it being possible to purchase cars from Europe and China without Silagra any problems for decades.
Whilst most people will be aware of these manufacturers – Toyota, Honda, BMW, Citroen, Renault and Volkswagen are all prime examples – with the exception of Ford, it would have been rare to see any other American car on British roads even 20 years ago.
Things have developed a lot over the past two decades, however and although the brands may not be as popular as some of the others in the UK market, these three American car brands are slowly but surely taking their own large piece of the UK market – and somewhat strangely, they’re all owned by the same company.
1. Chrysler – arguably the most popular American car manufacturer in the UK other than Ford, Chrysler have been a prominent player in the new car industry in the UK for around 10 years now, starting back at the turn of the millennium when they introduced their PT Cruiser.
As of June 2010, Chrysler have two main cars for sale in the country – the Bentley-inspired 300c and the all purpose Grand Voyager, both of which start at a respectable 26,995 pounds.
2. Dodge – possibly the least known of the three manufacturers mentioned in this list, Dodge dealers are becoming more and more popular around the country, with their being just short of 100 Dodge dealers throughout England, Scotland and Wales.
Currently promoting their crossover-estate the Dodge Journey, production started in 2008 and the car covers all bases, coming with four different engines choices, ranging from an efficient 2 litre diesel to a powerhouse 3.5 litre V6.
3. Jeep – although you may have heard the term jeep being used for years, it’s unlikely than many people would be able to actually match the term to an official Jeep, instead thinking of a jeep to be along the lines of a Land Rover Defender.
The staple car of the American military, Jeeps have become much loved public-road vehicles in America and the same appears to be happening in the UK.
With the choice between the Cherokee, Grand Cherokee, Patriot and Wrangler, all of which are currently available in dealers up and down the country, all four of these Jeeps are beautiful vehicles and are suitable in almost every possible driving scenario.
Chances are you’ve heard of several American car makes, but most of them will have been featured in Hollywood films, instead of being seen on the UK’s roads. These three, however, are all fantastic examples of American cars that are currently for sale throughout the country and which are selling particularly well.
