The sophisticated Grenelle district is the site of both a famous Gaul defeat to the Romans and the Citadines Paris Tour Eiffel. In one of the most beautiful areas of Paris, almost next door to the Eiffel tower, the area is saturated with cafes, upmarket boutiques and brasseries with the Rue du Commerce’s famous street market in close walking distance.

Other must-sees include the Musee Rodin, which is the 18th-century mansion the famous sculptor used to live in and now contains famous sculptures such as ‘The Kiss’ and ‘The Thinker’. The area is served well by both bus and metro lines.

If you’re looking for somewhere to drink and eat check out either the Le Cafe des Lettres with a cobblestone courtyard and a fantastic cocktail list or try some typical French cuisine at Le Clos des Gourmets.

Citadines Paris Opera Vendome is located just next to place de l’Opera, a point of confluence for a number of the great Parisian boulevards and designed by the architect to show off the National Music Academy. The area is also home to prestigious shops such as Lancel and Maty and many of tourist offices and banks.

This Citadine is hidden away from the chaos of the city but is very centrally located within walking distance to the famous Place Vendome and Rue Saint-Honore, the latter home to a number of museums and famous residences. The Tuileries gardens and the collections of the Louvre are also close by.

The essential point of visit is Opera Garnier, also known as the Paris Opera, a 2,200 seat opera house. Outside of the music, visitor’s line-up to see the grand staircase and the ceiling painted by Chagall.

Not only is the Citadine Paris Louvre housed in a magnificent 18th centaury building, but it is also in the heart of some of Paris’s most famous attractions. The Louvre is a few minutes walk away, the Tuileries Gardens are close-by, which in turn is linked to the Place de la Concorde, which brings you through to the Champs Elysees. The Musee d’Orsay is a must, and ensure you check out Monet’s Nympheas (Water-Lilies) in the Musee de l’Orangerie.

For shopping you can visit the Galleries Lafayette or Printemps department stores which tend to be on the expensive side or you can aim for the Rue de Rivoli to pick up your Parisian souvenirs.

Anyone staying at Citadine Paris Louvre is suggested to visit Angelina’s Tearoom for their famous hot chocolate but if you’re looking for a flavour of home, there are numerous fast food restaurants and outlets close by. Le Petit Machon is highly recommended with very French and very high quality food. If you want to cook for yourself, the nearby Monoprix offers everything you’d find in a full supermarket, and more.

Whilst just about anything you could want to see in Paris is within walking distance, the Metro stop is right outside the front of the hotel if you decide to venture further.

The Citadine Les Halles is located in the Forum des Halles, the heart of Paris and one of the busiest areas for locals and tourists. On top of a metro station, Les Halles central is open-air and below street level and contains sculptures, fountains and museums.

Surrounding the area are hundreds of trendy boutiques, theatres and jazz clubs and the Centre Pompidou, home to a vast public library, a centre for music research and the Musee National d’Art Moderne is only a few minutes walk away. Just about every international food is on offer to the hungry.

Also close to the apartment are the banks of the river Seine, essential for an evening stroll. Sainte-Chapelle is a stunning example of gothic architecture and beautiful stained glass work whilst the flower market on the ile de la Cite is worth visiting early in the morning.

Citadines Paris Saint-Germain-Des-Pres is home in a beautiful 1930s-designed 7-story building right on the banks of the Seine and opposite Pont-Neuf, the oldest standing bridge across the river. Views from a number of the rooms deliver a Parisian vista of chimney tops and ornate apartment roofs.

Close by is Boulevard St-Michel, part of the famous Paris Latin Quarter, a hotbed of student activisim in the past but now more aimed at the tourist market. The tree-lined boulevard houses designer shops and quirky independent book stores as well as cinemas and cafes. More second-hand book dealers can be found along the banks of the Seine where the view offers glimpses of the Place Dauphine Silagra and the medieval prison, the Concierge.

Place Furstenberg shouldn’t be missed; an intimate and well-hidden square giving a wonderful respite from the left bank hustle and bustle.
