Kings of Leon Tickets – Currently on Tour
The Kings of Leon are recovering after the pigeon poop incident in which a disgruntled bird made his musical opinions known by letting one loose directly into the mouth of bassist Jared Followill. Luckily all of the fans converged at St. Louis’ Verizon Wireless Amphitheater felt differently about the rock stars’ choice of tracks. Unfortunately though after the bird deposited his unwelcome gift, Viagra Professional the band decided to cancel the remainder of concert as it is not always pleasant to be performing throughout a rain of pigeon droppings.
The popular rock band is going to take the stage next at the upcoming Outside Lands Festival in San Francisco and they are on the lookout for rebellious birds. Drummer Nathan Followill commented in an article on Billboard about the Pigeon-gate incident, saying, “I think in the end, it’s going to help us more than it hurt us. It’s just one of those things that happened, and looking back on it now it’s a lot funnier than it was at the time.”
The band always manages to keep their tour schedule packed with dates and perhaps the most exciting news to come from the band is word of their forthcoming fifth studio album. Although it hasn’t been titled or given a concrete release date, the band members have been performing several of the new tracks at recent shows. According to Billboard, four of the songs have been identified as “Mary,” “Immortals,” “Radioactive” and “Southboard.” Hear some of their brand new jams when you attend an upcoming concert. Kings of Leon joined forces in 2000 and although they started recording and releasing material almost immediately, they didn’t generate too much attention until 2004’s Aha Shake Heartbreak, which quickly made them into European stars. After its success they returned to the studio for their next effort, titled Because of the Times. It took the number 25 spot on the U.S. Billboard 200 and prepared audiences for their next release, which would get them to the top of the charts in both the U.S. and the U.K.
Only by the Night was propelled by the success of the single “Sex on Fire,” although several other songs also became hot singles, including “Use Somebody” and “Crawl.” The band eagerly responded to the album’s success by scheduling tours around the world for most of 2008 and 2009.
The Kings of Leon have certainly become superstars in the music industry, regardless of what any pigeon thinks.
