When American Idol returns for Season 10, the popular Fox reality show may look very different than it did Cialis Jelly last season. Season 9 contestants like winner Lee DeWyze and fan favorite Crystal Bowersox are currently on the road on the American Idols Live Tour amidst numerous changes that will affect next season. Although Simon Cowell announced plans to leave the show way before Season 9 was over, fans were shocked when Ellen DeGeneres revealed that she will not be returning either.

The rumor mill has been on overdrive ever since it was announced that the judging panel would be shaken up for next season. Among those rumored to be in the running for a spot at the judge’s table are Jennifer Aniston, Justin Timberlake, Diddy, Jessica Simpson, Elton John and others!

Billboard.com reports that after just one season as the fourth judge on the show, Ellen is not coming back. In a statement about her decision on July 29, DeGeneres said, “A couple months ago, I let Fox and the American Idol producers know that this didn’t feel like the right fit for me … It was a difficult decision to make, but my work schedule became more than I bargained for. I also realized this season that while I love discovering, supporting and nurturing young talent, it was hard for me to judge people and sometimes hurt their feelings. I loved the experience working on Idol and am very grateful for the year I had. I am a huge fan of the show and will continue to be.”

DeGeneres, who was criticized for going too easy on contestants during her tenure on the show, also stated that she told Fox and Idol producers that she would wait to announce her decision until after they had a plan for the judging panel in place.

Sophomore judge Kara DioGuardi (who replaced original judge Paula Abdul a few seasons ago) is rumored to be possibly exiting American Idol as well, reports Billboard.com, while Randy Jackson has one more year left on his contract and will likely remain on the judging panel. According to celebrity gossip site TMZ, American Idol will return to a “three-judge format” next season, with Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler supposedly replacing DioGuardi on the panel.

Rumors surrounding American Idol continue to fly, with some sources reporting that Jennifer Lopez will fill Ellen DeGeneres’ shoes on the judging panel. That means next season’s American Idol contestants will face a judging panel comprised of veteran judge Randy Jackson and newcomers Steven Tyler and Jennifer Lopez.

The show goes on for Season 9 contestants on the road on the American Idols Live Tour, which kicked off just before the Fourth of July weekend. Although the tour was originally slated to run longer, it will now end in Indianapolis, Ind. on Aug. 31 which means American Idol fans need to hurry up and get their American Idols Live tickets soon! Along with Lee DeWyze and Crystal Bowersox, the tour features other top 10 finalists: Aaron Kelly, Casey James, Andrew Garcia, Didi Benami, Katie Stevens, Michael Lynche, Tim Urban and Siobhan Magnus.
