Bruce Springsteen Tickets – Performing Live
During an Alejandro Escovedo performance at Asbury Park, N.J., fans were shocked when they heard the bluesy voice of one Bruce Springsteen. The Boss joined Escovedo for the tune “Always a Friend,” the Rolling Stones’ “Beast of Burden” and one of Escovedo’s own “Faith,” from his new album Street Songs of Love. The impromptu set in front of stunned audiences at the Stone Pony was the first time Springsteen returned to the stage for charity since he provided backup for Mike Ness in May 2008, reports Rolling Stone.

While Springsteen continues to tour around the world, he also has been coming out in support of his new live album and DVD London Calling: Live in Hyde Park. The album was recorded during the London at the Hard Rock Calling Festival in June 2009 and features 27 live tracks from the award winning artist and his crew throughout the day. The album, which has already debuted number one on the DVD charts in the States, the UK, Ireland, Spain, Switzerland, Canada, Sweden, Norway and Austria, was bound to be a hit.
When Springsteen sat down to share his thoughts about the latest project for his own Sirius XM channel, he shared behind the scenes secrets of the recording. “Nothing replaces a live performance,” he said, “but people can get an idea of what you spend your time doing.”
The result is a historical fixture that was the first time Springsteen and the current E Street Band had filmed together. Blaming his own superstitions, he realized it was probably time to honor the group in video. “I was superstitious about filming the band. I always felt like ‘I don’t want them to see too closely what we’re doing.’ But then as the prescription cialis generic band went along, and it lasted, I realized that having some film evidence of what we’d done was becoming more and more important.”
Already a legend, now Springsteen and the current E Street Band will continue to live in infamy with this DVD and their various live performances. Springsteen remains one of the few acts of ’70s fame to remain at the forefront of rock ‘n’ roll. An act that found millions of fans in his first tracks, Springsteen continues to see sold out stadiums and crowds even with his most recent albums.
Springsteen had that musical passion and drive from an early age and even moved from New Jersey to the Big Apple with his first band, Castiles, before he graduated high school. Though the group didn’t last, Springsteen’s work ethic did and he went on to record with Columbia by 1972. Though he was signed as a solo act, for his first LP he hired his former backing band.
“Blinded by the Light” was the lead single, but would hit it big four years later. Initially the albums didn’t sell all that well, including the now platinum The Wild, the Innocent & the E Street Shuffle. It was his 1975 Born to Run that got everyone’s attention, something he hasn’t stopped doing since.
