Solid Plastic Toilet Partitions
Solid plastic toilet partitions are an economical and highly attractive addition to public restrooms.
They are manufactured from an advanced composite material that consists of a minimum of 30 percent, pre-consumer recycled, high-density polyethylene. This material is made specifically with vandal resistance, low maintenance, quick cleaning, and adaptability to interior architecture in mind.
Solid plastic toilet partitions feature an impressive resistance to scratching and denting.
Although they are made of a plastic composite, the material is extremely strong and is very difficult to cut, scratch, or dent. In high traffic areas where mischief and vandalism often occur, this is a feature that saves organizations tremendous amounts of money on maintenance costs. Examples of such facilities include shopping malls, sports stadiums, arenas, theme parks, and public schools.
These partitions are designed to be low maintenance because they are water resistant. The unique constitution of the polyethylene prevents water from absorbing into its surface. This makes it hard for people to write on these partitions with markers. Any ink that is placed on them will wash off easily with a wet cloth or standard cleaner.
Without water buildup, bacteria are also kept to a minimum, and the dry surface also attracts less dust particles in the air. Consistently, solid plastic toilet partitions have proven to remain dry and mold free in even the wettest climates.
Choose from any of 19 colors.
Because interior architecture has become increasingly sophisticated and aesthetic, even in restrooms, new colors now include burgundy, black, canyon granite, and many more stylized and highly unique color options.
Solid plastic toilet partitions come in four different mounting styles.
1. The floor-mounted overhead style is preferred in restrooms with no special ceiling or floor construction.
The pilasters simply attach to the floor and re stabilized at the top with an anti-grip headrail. This Floor-mounted overhead unique can be quickly installed as either remodels or new constructions.
2. Floor-braced units are made for restrooms with high ceilings.
The floor-braced style is intended for use in buildings with high ceilings and floors that are supported by a minimum of three inches of subsurface concrete. This style combines the very best in functionality and design by accentuation the sense of spaciousness in the room.
3. The ceiling-hung style is intended for use in low- ceiling environments of eight feet or less.
The pilaster suspends from a bracket on the ceiling and extends downward, flush with the bottom of the door. This leaves a small area above the floor that is completely free from obstruction and makes maintenance quick and easy. For maximum rigidity, it is recommended mounting this style in ceilings with additional structural supports.
4. Floor-to-ceiling solid plastic toilet partitions are recommended when maximum strength and rigidity are needed.
These can be mounted in either high-ceiling or low-ceiling restrooms. A concrete layer beneath the floor is also required, just as it is with floor-mounted units.
The “No-Site” option creates an additional level of privacy and an improved aesthetic as well.
In many upscale environments, the one-half-inch gap between the door and the pilaster can be both an eyesore and a source of discomfort for some. A vacancy-occupied indicator shows if unit is in use. This feature is available floor-mounted, overhead braced and floor-to-ceiling styles only.
