Getting Spoilt Silly Is Inevitable When You’re On M/Y Inevitable
M/Y Inevitable may as well stand for mega yacht inevitable. From the maker of exclusive custom luxury yachts and high-performance super yachts, Palmer Johnson, comes yet another masterpiece. Inevitable was built in 2000, and like all other Palmer Johnsons, was an innovative piece and had many ‘firsts’ to it. Palmer Johnson is known as one of the pioneers of technological and design advancements in yacht building. Motor yacht Inevitable was Palmer Johnson’s first attempt at creating a ship that met the Lloyd’s criteria as well as the MCA code for chartering in British waters. Keeping with the Palmer Johnson tradition, M/Y Inevitable combines efficiency and performance with style and space – built to perfection as per the owner’s expectations.
At 40 meters, (131 feet), M/Y Inevitable is definitely impressive looking. However, its design and engineering too are feats of marvel. Building yachts is no joke, and building custom luxury superyachts of 40 meters that adhere to two different codes of security is definitely something only Palmer Johnson could undertake. And yet, Palmer Johnson managed to add their own touches to the Inevitable. Compliance to the MCA code requires a yacht to have fire doors throughout; only, M/Y Inevitable has pocket fire doors with beautiful wooden panelling. As per the code, the staterooms each have two means of escape. In Inevitable, one of these opens to the crew laundry area, allowing quick escape as well as a means of service for the crew.
When it comes to engineering, Palmer Johnson boats are typically known for their low vibration levels and overall quietness of the ride. Being a custom yacht, however, the Inevitable has standards of its own. M/Y Inevitable employed the creation of a ‘floating’ superstructure interior, using flexible rubber mounts for walls and interiors, and on machinery, to reduce noise levels drastically in the staterooms. And the efforts have paid off. Whereas normal conversation is 65 dB, the sound levels in the master suite are 49dB, 58 dB in the aft port stateroom and 60 dB in the starboard stateroom, even with the engines turning at 1700 rpm.
The custom created M/Y Inevitable leaves no stone unturned when it comes to comfort and luxury. The superstructure houses 5 staterooms. The master is beautifully turned out with a mahogany frame, king-sized canopy bed; separate bathrooms for him and her (hers has a Jacuzzi), and a walk-in closet the size of a twin bed on many yachts. M/Y Inevitable has planned and designed other stateroom such that a large number of guests can be accommodated with ease. There are two more master suites, a twin-bed stateroom, and another with four beds (bunks). The flying bridge and sky lounge are home to the latest means of entertainment and a large U-shaped bar, as is the aft deck to a Jacuzzi tub.
And of course, no matter how beautiful and luxurious the motor yacht Inevitable is, one cannot forget the temptations that the waves bring. To fulfil these, she is loaded with snorkelling and diving gear, water skis, jet skis and a 22 foot inflatable boat and two personal watercrafts to enjoy these with. All, in all, mega yacht Inevitable provides the seafarer with everything he could think of in a yacht, in even better measure than his expectation. Her grandeur and performance does justice to the grandeur and magnanimity of the ocean itself, and one could rightly say, ‘If you want to cruise, then it has to be the Inevitable’
