Thanksgiving Birthday Party Ideas That Your Guests Will Gobble Up!
Lookin’ for ideas for a Thanksgiving birthday party or perhaps you need some Thanksgiving decoration ideas, either way, we’ve got you covered. Here’s some fun and fabulous options to consider, that will help you to create a Thanksgiving with party pizzazz!
THANKSGIVING (BIRTHDAY) BANNER – Hang a large banner across your main party room wall that will accent the day with a blessed Thanksgiving message. If you’re celebrating a Thanksgiving birthday, then you will want your banner to reflect a birthday message to that special person born on the day set aside for giving thanks.
PILGRIM HAT CENTERPIECE – Start by spray-painting a terra cotta clay pot with black paint. Cut a buckle shape out of yellow poster board and hot glue it to the front of the pot. Cut out a large circle from a piece of black poster board that will fit snuggly around the top of the clay pot to create the brim. Place a piece of floral foam into the bottom of the pot, cover with water to soak the foam, and then insert fresh flowers that are in fall colors. Attach a bouquet of balloons (Happy Birthday if applicable) with lots of colorful curling ribbons cascading downward. You could also hang some mini pinecones or acorns at the bottom of some of the ribbons.
PUMPKIN CENTERPIECE – Hollow out a pumpkin and place a piece of floral foam on the bottom. Saturate it with water and arrange fresh fall flowers into the foam at various heights. Add some fall-colored curling ribbons and a bouquet of balloons as noted above.
For a more elegant look, display a white pumpkin, which is known as a “ghost” pumpkin, on top of a clear, elevated glass cake stand. Adorn the stand with greenery. You could also add some silver or gold glitter to the pumpkin for added sparkle and elegance. If you cannot seem to get your hands on a “ghost” pumpkin, then spray paint a traditional pumpkin white and splatter it with flecks of gold paint.
PUMPKIN & GOURD PLACE SETTINGS – Place a mini pumpkin or gourd at each place setting, along with a name place card. Print the place cards out onto tan card stock using a decorative font, brown ink, with a Thanksgiving clip art decoration. Fold the place card in half and set it next to the pumpkin or gourd.
CRAFTY CORNUCOPIA – Create an ample “nest” of natural-colored raffia in the bottom of a large horn basket. Arrange mini pumpkins, Indian corn, gourds, grapes, sunflowers, and autumn leaves in the horn, along with having them flow out onto the tabletop. You could also sprinkle a few nuts in their shells in amongst the overflow for added variety.
