How to Shop For Sexy Open Bra
Want to surprise your husband with exotic lingerie? Consider an open bra, which leaves part or all of each breast exposed, but retains the underwire/ strap framework.
These brassieres along with sexy open lingerie are extremely erotic and absolutely scream “sex” to anyone who will see you wearing them. The good news is that open bras can also be fairly inexpensive; you don’t have to spend a lot of money to come home with an alluring, seductive garment (or two!).
There are several styles of open bras for your consideration. Most open bras have full or demi cups, but have a circular or oval opening in the center that leaves the nipple and areola exposed. You may be tempted to make your own open bra from existing lace bras in your collection; this is actually harder than you might think, since you have to create holes of exactly the same size and shape, in exactly the same place on each cup.
Lace intimate apparel fabric also will often start to unravel if it’s cut with scissors, in which case you’ll have to seal it with fabric glue, which can create unsightly lumps or a scratchy sensation against the delicate skin of your breasts. For these reasons, it’s usually best to buy your open bras ready-made.
An even more adventurous style of open bra is the shelf bra, which leaves almost all of each breast open to the air. Shelf bras have underwire support and shoulder straps, and a thin shelf of fabric used to support the bottom of each breast.
However, the rest of the breast is left completely exposed. Because a shelf bra provides less support than the type of open bra that leaves only the nipple exposed, this type of bra is best worn by women whose breasts have a high degree of firmness on their own.
The third type of open bra has no cup fabric at all; this sort of bra has only shoulder straps, underwire, and an elastic bottom band that hooks in the back (like a traditional bra). Some women pair this type of open bra with adhesive pasties in fun shapes or glitter; these are the nipple covers frequently worn by burlesque dancers, and attach to the breast via a gentle adhesive that is safe for use against delicate breast tissue.
Other women opt to leave their nipples uncovered. As with the shelf bra, open bras with no cups are most flattering on women whose breasts have a pleasing shape without much additional support. If you wear a C cup or larger, you may find that open bras with slightly more support are more flattering to you; however, some buxom women can wear the bare-bones variety of open bra to great effect! It just depends on the firmness and consistency of your breasts.
If you’re new to the world of open bras, take advantage of the Internet to browse all of the styles that are available to you. You’re going to adore this new addition to your lingerie collection!
