Sozopol is located on the South Bulgarian coast of the Black sea. It is only 45 kilometers south from Bourgas airport. The center is on a little peninsula which is the old city. Sozopol is one of the oldest cities on the Bulgarian coast.

A mini bus service from the airport up to 8 passengers cost around 45euros and a car service for up to 4 passengers is no more than 30 euros. You should also beware from the yellow cabs outside the airport which are very overpriced. A minimum charge to Sozopol is 50 euros and most of the cars are small , uncomfortable with gas bottles in the boot which means a limited luggage space.
