Most people, when they visit a sales pitch or drive, will expect to get something free to take home with them. The idea of having something for nothing appeals to all of us but the goods have to be of reasonable quality for sure. All these costs are normally included in the end price of the products or services that the company has on offer and this is just another way to get people to notice them. If there are seminars or trade fairs in the offing, this is probably the easiest way to get a company name on the lips of the public and get them to talk about the company in places where the company could never hope to reach.
Since advertising in the media is very expensive, it is probably better to give individuals something to take home rather than hope that they pick up a particular newspaper or watch an advert on TV.
