High School Baseball Stats
Right behind the smell of new cut grass or the sound of balls hitting the mit, true high school baseball fans love another sound…the sound of baseball stats being thrown around in battle over their favorite players. In almost a tradition with kids, parents, and grandparents chiming in on this pitcher\’s strike-outs or that player\’s hitting. It\’s all right there for you in PrepSportFantasy.com and you\’re going to love it.
Baseball is a very specialized sport in that there’s a huge separate in stats between Pitchers and all other players and both are equally important. It’s hard to win a prep baseball game without some serious pitching and you can’t get score with out bringing in the hitters. You need both these days so we need the stats to reflect this. We went about it a different way than the typical baseball fantasy league because we’re just a little different (yea…that’s different as in strange). So let’s take a look at what we did.
First of all, let’s take the hitting side of things. We wanted stats that reflect what we love about the game from an offense side. When we’re watching our favorite baseball game and our side’s batting. It’s really pretty simple. We love a hit where the batter gets on base. That’s stat. If a batter gets two bases, that’s a stat and it’s twice as good. If you get 3 bases from a hit, well that’s high school baseball stat. Of course, the home run is what we all live for in the bleachers and that’s a stat. It’s weighted so that you get 3 points for it as should be. We really wanted to break down baseball hitting to its rawest form and the bases cover that.
