Rabbit Manure – a Gift From Above
Everyone who is into planting needs some sort of fertilizer for his or her plants to grow healthy. Anything can be used as fertilizer as long as it is beneficial to you and your garden or farm. However, because of the increasing price of chemical fertilizers today, we are left with only one choice, the organic fertilizers.
Organic fertilizers have been around for a long time now and have only been used again because of the awareness of people on their health with regards to the use of chemical fertilizers. Manures and food wastages are the first organic fertilizers used in the old days. With this information that they can use manures, they have developed several ways to improve the use of organic fertilizers. Today, most farmers resort into the popular vermin-culture where they use worms such as red worms that are voracious eaters. These worms eat all day and what they “pooped” out is what people use for their farms and gardens as organic fertilizers. The process is simple. They put the worms in a bin that is well aerated and moistened to suit the worms and keep them there. Afterwards they will put decaying organic wastes for the worms to consume. And what was said earlier regarding the “poops” of the worms are the prized fertilizers. There are various species of worms used for this kind of process. However, not all worms can fit in this habitat and do their job. Only selected species of worms are capable of doing this process.
However, the most popular and regarded as the best organic fertilizer by most farmers and gardeners is the rabbit manure. The manures of rabbits are pre formed into pellets that are very convenient for the famers to use. They are not messy to use and can be stored dry for easy access. There is also no need to compost it as it is safe to use even if it is still fresh because it will not burn the plants. This type of manure is truly a blessing from heaven as it is also rich in nitrogen and nutrients that are needed by the plants to thrive better and be healthy. Rabbit manures have 2.4% nitrogen, 1.4% phosphoric acid, and 0.6% potash which exceed all other manures. Another good thing with rabbit is that they are easy to take care of and requires a little space compared to horses, goats and other animals except for chickens which can be housed. Although these are good sources of nutrients for the plants, it is advised that you compost all of your manures before you use them in your farm especially the chicken manure which can easily burn your plants if used fresh.
It doesn’t really matter which one is better than the other as long as you use it properly and correctly to get the best results. These are the new revolutionary fertilizers that are 100% safe to use and can be loved by almost anybody most especially those who are health conscious.
